  Identity Theft:  On the Rise

Everyone should take precautions to ensure their identity is not stolen.  Check out the useful tips to locking up your identity in our Identity Theft Brochure.

Fraud:  Ever heard that old saying, "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is"?  We all want to win the lottery or somehow receive money we weren't expecting.  Maybe you have received a cashier's check in the mail for a lottery you didn't enter.  Maybe you received an offer from the winner of you eBay auction to pay more than the winning bid.  Or maybe you just have this nagging feeling that you are being scammed.  If any of these are true or even if you just want to learn about new scams, then take the time to check out this website:

 Fraudsters have all kinds of schemes.  Don't fall victim to one!  If you deposit a fraudulent check, then withdraw those funds, YOU have to pay back the credit union when that check is returned.  Finding the fraudster is unlikely, so you get left holding the bag.  Don't let that happen to you!
